Prior to joining Steel City Squash, Valeria worked as a NIA/Health and Wellness Coordinator for Schenley Heights Community Development Program, where she was responsible for providing life-coping skills such as self-esteem building, bullying prevention and personal behavior management to students between the ages of 3 -11. She also provided healthy living workshops and coordinated the physical fitness programming. She has also worked as a Residential Therapist for Three Rivers Youth, where she was responsible for facilitating individual and group therapy sessions with female adolescents between the ages of 12 - 18. Valeria obtained her postsecondary education from Edinboro University of Pennsylvania, where she received a Master of Arts degree in Counseling with an emphasis on School Guidance PreK-12 and a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration with a minor in History.
